Our instructor Amie Durrman, a certified art teacher, has a flexible schedule Monday-Friday between February and May to offer customized classes in clay, general art, textile arts, etc., for individuals and families. Fun and exploration for children aged 2-5 years with a parent or caregiver. This class will focus on letter form, design and layout, the use of various tools, and will produce a rendering suitable for framing. For ages 12 and up. Class size: Minimum 5, Maximum 8.

Participants learn to plan and create a low-relief metal wall tile. The first day is devoted to design and chasing. The second day is for finishing and framing. By springtime you will be ready to assemble your work of art. A materials list of yardage will be provided at the time of registration.
This class is an ambitious project for children, but we welcome students age 12 and up who have suitable experience in hand-sewing, hand-quilting, and assistance with the the measurement aspect of a log cabin quilt. A great project for old or new fabrics.

Make a colorful, charming fused glass suncatcher in this easy, three-hour introduction to the basics of glass fusing! No previous glass cutting experience is required for this brief introduction to fused glass. Students will compose a design, approximately 4”x6”, using small scraps of fusible glass, and fusible glass frit. Each piece is fired to over 1200 degrees, melting the glass into a finished sun catcher, ready to hang in a sunny window. Youth aged 10 and up are welcome, if attending with a paying adult.
Students may choose to make two fused glass night lights instead of a sun catcher for an additional fee of $9.00 to cover the cost of two fixtures, bulbs and clips, which are available in class. The night light panels are 2-½”x3” each. Finished projects can be picked up at the School office after firing is completed or mailed for a small additional fee.

Join instructors to learn how to turn wood to make a baseball bat, wooden bowl, pen, ice cream scoop, or other small wood project.
