A-100 UNDERSTANDING YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA

Wednesdays, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., Sept. 5 & 12 (2 weeks)
The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the basic functions of the digital camera and to provide an understanding of digital photographic form past to present. The course will include a brief history of the photographic process and how it developed from a scientific oddity to a cultural milestone; an explanation of the components of a camera: shutter, aperture, lens, etc., and how each affect the final image. By the end of the course the student should have a better understanding of how their camera works, how different effects can be obtained in similar circumstances, and understand the options for sharing their images.
