INSTRUCTOR: MAR JIMENEZ
TUITION: $125, plus a $50 materials fee per 15-gram package of silver PMC (price subject to fluctuation), payable to the School at class start
CLASS SIZE: 1-5
1-day class, by appointment, 10:00 am-2:00 pm
In this class students learn how to work with Precious Metal Clay, a fine, silver-infused compound clay that allows the student to mold, stamp, sculpt, and create their own silver jewelry designs. When using precious metal clay, the student is left with a pure .999 silver creation that can be tumbled, burnished, or you can add patina to get creative with beautiful effects. Familiarity with these materials can lead the student to silversmithing. Additional Precious Metal Clay and tool kits will be available for purchase. Customized courses and Open Studio work with the instructor is available by arrangement. Each hour (or part thereof) spent past the scheduled time of this class to finish pieces will incur an open studio fee of $20 per hour.
